Cutting operating costs through energy savings and effective energy management is one of the biggest challenges businesses will face in the coming years.
Effective energy management starts with an Energy Review and the energy classification of your building, as required by law. The review identifies the areas of the building with the highest energy consumption.
These may relate to the installed electromechanical equipment or to the building envelope. We carry out a detailed study of the building’s energy performance and propose technical solutions that prevent high energy costs and deliver savings.
Alongside the Energy Review, we carry out an Energy Inspection, which follows the procedures set out in the legislation and leads to the issue of an Energy Performance Certificate.
Energy Performance Certificate
The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is recognised by the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change (YPEKA). It rates the energy performance of a building on a scale from A to H, where category A represents the most energy-efficient buildings, with the lowest possible consumption.
The EPC also shows the building’s estimated annual energy consumption and annual CO2 emissions. It comes with recommendations for improving energy performance, such as works on the building envelope (insulation, window frames, etc.), replacement of electrical and mechanical equipment, or the installation of renewable energy sources (RES).
The certificate is valid for 10 years from the date of issue. It is mandatory by law for all large companies, with an extension to all companies expected, and it is issued by certified energy inspectors.
