Manifest Services at ICOMIA World Marinas Conference
Manifest participated in the World Marinas Conference, which was organized for the first time in Athens by the ICOMIA and the Greek Marinas Association, 25-27/10/2018.
Several of the foreign speakers mentioned the great prospects of sea tourism in Greece, with marinas spearheaded. Several times during the conference that was held at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, was highlighted: “if Greece decides to “marry” sea tourism, one does not have to go anywhere else.”
The chairman of Greek Marinas Association, CMM, Stavros Katsikadis, as opening the Conference, stressed inter alia that for every 1 euro that ships pay in marinas, an extra 5 euros of spending goes to support activities, as well as for every 100 boats, 4 marina jobs are created and 40 positions in other businesses.
On the basis of these elements, one perceives the scope for growth in this sector. Manifest, having already taken on LAMDA’s Soft Services at Flisvos Marina SA, recognizes the potential for improved infrastructure and the formation of synergies, as well as the new trends in the sharing economy and sets the foundation for the new era where marinas will welcome visitors just like hotels.
